• Group 2 –2 Training Coordinators, 3 Master Trainers and 5 Trainers
• Average experience amongst the entire team of 7 to 10 years
• Visiting faculty from New Zealand, Australia and USA
• Pooja Ghorpade, Shiv Chattrapati Awardee, is head of All Women training team consisting of 3 team members
Safety of Trainees
At Indian Rescue Academy, the safety of trainees is our utmost priority. We believe in providing trainees our trainees with the simulated experience and the thrill of adventure to service in DM forces.
Our trainee to trainer ratio is:
On Land – 25:1
In Water – 10:1
On Rope – 10:1
Trainers are certified as Emergency Medical Technicians to ensure the safety of the trainees. Every training course is equipped with Portable Oxygen, Advanced First Aid Kit & Spine Board Training Equipment.
OPERATIONAL SERVICES
- Felicitated by Shri Chandrababu Naidu, CM, Andhra Pradesh for exemplary services rendered during Godavari & Krishna Pushkarams (Kumbh Mela)
- Operated in support of SDRF Teams during Cyclone Phailin, Hudhud and Aila
- Operated in support of Coastal Police Teams during Chennai Floods
- Deployed a team of 75 members led by 8 trainers from ITUS during Kerala Floods
- Worked with TNDRF Teams for Cyclone Gaja
