First Aid and CPR for Caregivers and Teachers

Course Description

The first aid for an education and care setting course enables participates to develop the skill and knowledge required to manage emergency first aid situations and deliver competent emergency care to infants, children and adults until the arrival of professional medical support. The course applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.

Provide First Aid

Course Description

This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to manage emergency first aid situations and deliver competent emergency care until the arrival of professional medical support. Once completed, participants will obtain a first aid certificate that is valid for three years. The Provide First Aid course is internationally recognised & approved training.

Provide Advanced First Aid

Course Description

The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to provide an advanced first aid response, including management of the incident and other first aiders until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

  • The principles of advanced first aid and the use of ancillary first aid equipment
  • Basic life support and CPR, including safe manual handling skills
  • Dealing with casualties who are aged or infirm
  • Assessment of casualties and development of management plans when dealing with major and minor incidents

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Course Description

The Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course delivers the essential principles, skills and knowledge to maintain or restore breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant. The course content is based on the policies and standards of the Australian Resuscitation Council.
