Provided by one of our key equipment partners Ocean Blue, Indian Rescue Academy (IRA) recently received and commissioned new training equipments. These include most modern Sea-Doo jet ski and a 4 mtr Aluminium power boat. These equipments add to the substantial existing equipments and enhance IRA’s training capacity at our Kolad Academy. |



Lifeguard training of members of Maharashtra Ex Servicemen Corp. |
ITUS recently trained the lifeguards from Maharashtra Ex Servicemen Corp to be deployed for lifesaving duties with the PCMC. A matter of pride was that it was done by our Training Partner (TP) ‘Lifesaving Mumbai’ led by the dynamic Kanchan Mhatre. The training is delivered through our TP and certified by Australian Lifesaving Academy of Surf Life Saving NSW. SAR Diving Training |
Indian Rescue Academy (IRA) trains staff of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Forces (SDRF) in a wide range of rescue techniques both on land and in water. One of the vital training courses delivered is Search and Rescue (SAR) Diving Training. Training has been imparted to several batches in the last month to staff from NDRF and SDRF. Upon successful completion and examination, the trainees receive certificates issued by Indian Maritime Organisation (IMO) and recognised globally. The training is led by Academy head, Amol Jadhav who retired as Chief Diving Instructor at Indian Navy’s Diving School. |



Launch of amateur diving programs for general public |
With the significant interest in diving courses amongst the civilian population, IRA has launched diving courses for the general public at our training centre in Kolad (approx. 3 hours driving distance from Pune).The course has been received with considerable enthusiasm. |
